How we help
WorkWheels Vehicle Assistance Program
WorkWheels proudly supports two outstanding charitable organizations based in Austin, Texas: the JPII Life Center and the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul—St. John Neumann Conference. We do not accept direct applications; instead, we work exclusively through these trusted partners when a vehicle becomes available.

Due to limited vehicle supply, we are only able to assist a small number of individuals each year. Priority is given to cases where lack of transportation poses a critical barrier to work, healthcare, family support, or overall stability. Our mission is to empower individuals facing serious need—not simply to provide cars, but to restore independence and opportunity.
Please do not contact our partner organizations unless you are already engaged with them for broader support. WorkWheels is not a general car giveaway program, and referrals are made only when a verified, essential need aligns with the goals of our partners.
To be considered, referred candidates must meet the following Pre-Qualification Checklist:
-
Demonstrate financial hardship.
-
Possess a valid Texas driver’s license.
-
Provide proof of liability insurance or show the ability to obtain it before delivery.
-
Show capacity to cover ongoing costs (insurance, registration, fuel, maintenance).
-
Be willing to share all supporting documentation to assess eligibility.
-
Agree to sign applicable Terms & Conditions and liability waivers.

In the spirit of "Paying it Forward," recipients are encouraged (though not required) to make a modest donation toward future program participants—commonly $1,000 over time.
If you believe your situation may qualify, and you are actively receiving support from one of our partner organizations, please speak with them directly.
